Four Oaks, a new sustainable home in Nailsea, Bristol
A modern cotemporary home built around four mature oak trees. The first Passivhaus sustainable home built in North Somerset. Timber frame construction with well insulated walls and roof achieve a high performance thermal value of at least 0.12 W/m2K. Air tightness is no greater than 0.6 air changes / hr @ n50. Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery [MVHR] provides fresh air, climate control and environmental comfort and together with PV panels low energy usage is achieved without the need for heating. It was a challenge managing the rigorous construction as Passivhaus Certification requires meticulous attention to detail and air tight construction. Featured on the

I have just seen your PassivHaus project in Nailsea. We are impressed with the sustainable design and passivhaus, low-energy and eco build construction.
A very interesting project
