Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for the restoration of a Georgian house. The planning department were against the proposals to begin with, however extensive research was carried out to establish the history and period of the house which persuaded the planners to approve the scheme.
Planning conditions stipulated submission and approval of full size details of the new Georgian windows and doors required to satisfy Mendip District Council Conservation department prior to construction.
The proposals also involved a new kitchen extension and garage which have recently been completed.
Overall the changes are a vast improvement to the building which has become a focal point to the village.
