mjwarchitects is a small but expanding RIBA architectural chartered practice, who has the enthusiasm and experience to work on a range of projects, from residential extensions to multi-million pound offices, in rural and urban locations.

We provide a full architect's service to both private and commercial clients. Additional services can include: interior design, site searching, and project costs / funding advice. We also have a network of reliable contractors available for tender and construction. Our fees are a relatively small proportion of the total cost of a project and yet we can make a considerable contribution to the cost effectiveness and the ultimate overall value of your project. Together with value for money, we will professionally deliver your vision into reality with flair and imagination.

Established by Michael Williams, the practice was formed when the Directors worked in London in the 1980's. Valuable experience was gained working primarily on office and residential schemes for some of the UK's leading developers and architects. Since moving to Somerset the practice has gained a reputation for creative design and its ability to obtain successful planning permissions and listed building consents on sensitive sites. Our success has been a result of our design approach, community support and planning negotiation. These strengths, coupled with our expertise in sustainable design and Building Regulations, enable the practice to be at the forefront of the energy debate and fully versed in all statutory requirements.

The practice also endeavours to be at the forefront of practice management, technology and communications. Full CAD, IT networks and broadband connections enable computer drawing, imaging, internet, email and fax facilities to all workplaces giving our clients a quality assured service. However, whilst we do impressive 3D computer graphics, our clients still appreciate a good freehand sketch.
