THE RENOVATION

North Hill Farm, near Yeovil in South Somerset
A major renovation of an old historic farm house into a large country house for a family. Outbuildings and extensions include a new double garage, gym, wine store, home office and an additional second floor. Also a new kitchen, bathrooms and ensuites and additional bedrooms have been added. The house was re roofed and all windows and doors replaced, including new bay windows and dormer windows which give a symmetry to the front. In addition, ground source heat pumps and under floor heating have been installed. Rainwater harvesting has also been added. Whilst outside developments limits and located in open countryside working closely with the planners South Somerset District Council granted planning permission. Selected as an exemplar renovation project by the RIBA Sector Reviews.
