GREENLANDS
A new traditional Mendip family home in Oakhill, Somerset.
The large family house required in depth planning negotiations with Mendip District Council to achieve a successful solution of building a house just outside the village of Oakhill, near Bath. The traditional design uses high quality local and sustainable materials of natural stone and timber that is in keeping with the local vernacular of the Mendips. The five bedroom house also has a separate guest wing, garden room, billiard room, two double garages, stables and a menage for horses. Selected as an exemplar residential project by the RIBA Sector Review for Wessex.
