BARN FARM – CLASS Q BARN CONVERSION

Agricultural Building Conversion described as an ‘innovative home set in an idyllic rural location is a celebration of industrial design’. A simple and affordable conversion of an existing metal shed now for sale with for sale with Lodestone Property at over £1,100,000. Planning legalisation was cleverly used for a redundant agricultural building near Frome, in Somerset, to be converted into residential use without the need for planning permission. Steel roof and wall cladding fixed to the existing metal frame, with internal finishes of birch plywood sheeting to the walls and polished concrete flooring, kept construction costs low and within a limited budget whilst creating an attractive contemporary home.  Good insulation and an air source heat pump keeps running costs low.
