Listed Building Barn Conversion, Holcombe, Bath
A traditional Somerset stone barn converted into a dwelling that sits comfortably in the natural landscape setting. To satisfy planners and conservation changes had to be kept minimal in respect of its historic location close to a Listed Church of St Andrew in Holcombe. However an attractive and functional open plan dwelling was created through alterations and with the addition of a first floor two bedrooms added. Roof lights and large glazed doors create a well lit space with views over the countryside and the church, which is often used for film locations, such as the BBC series Poldark. Recently completed.
